Often times people jailbreak their device without knowing allot about jailbreak. So, when something goes wrong they act surprised and tend to point fingers at the last thing they downloaded off Cydia for screwing up their device. When I see people doing that nothing but frustration occurs because, people should not be jailbreaking if they don’t know much about it nor should someone be jailbreaking if they can’t handle an every now and then issue that occurs.
Jailbreak is not flawless, it simply can’t be, and everyone who jailbreaks should know that beforehand. Jailbreaking your device gives you the ability to put 3rd party things such as tweaks, themes, apps, and more on your device. When these developers create these items that go on Cydia for you to use they test them with the device. 95% of the things on Cydia work flawlessly on a device with no other things downloaded. Problems usually occur when multiple 3rd party things from Cydia are downloaded and do not mix well together. It is impossible for the developers to test their creations with every other item on Cydia. That is why jailbreaking cannot be perfect. If you are someone who needs the perfect device and can’t take some issues. Don’t jailbreak.
Its not the developers fault something wen’t wrong, so don’t blame them for every little issue that occurs with your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad after you jailbreak. A good way to prevent issues when you jailbreak is a little something I like to call “Cydia management”. Basically, Cydia Management is simply keeping track of what you download off Cydia. Now I don’t mean you should write down everything you download and file it away. I simply mean to know what you download. Don’t download every little thing you seem to think is cool off Cydia. When you decide to download something don’t download a ton of things all at once. Wait a while so, if something does go wrong you can simply go back and say “hey, I just downloaded this tweak and perhaps it didn’t mix well with some other thing I downloaded off Cydia, perhaps I should delete it and see if my device works correctly without it”. Bottom line is, look up what jailbreaking means before you do it.
If someone mentions jailbreaking and someone says “Don’t do that, it will screw up your deviec!” You simply tell them off and shove some facts in their face.
