Gamestop hasn’t been doing so hot for the last couple of years seeing as though many people have started using online platforms to buy and download their games. In an effort to not end up like Circuit City or Blockbuster, Gamestop has decided to start buying used iPhone’s, iPod’s, and iPad’s.
Gamestop has dumped over $7 million into a refurbishment center to repair and clean up all the iOS devices they have purchased. The company is expecting over $200 million from mobile sales alone this year. Gamestop has had experience re-selling items before. But, with the devices that’ll be a whole new thing that could change Gamestop forever. If the game industry just isn’t cutting it for them they may move further into a primary electronics retailer. Expect, we know that market isn’t doing so good either… The company also plans to start buying used computers as well.
Would you buy a used iOS device from Gamestop?
