Rumors of a Facebook phone have been pretty popular but, I don’t think it will happen considering a recent interview with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in which he said -

“Let’s say we build a phone,  We’re not, but if we did, we could maybe get 10 to 20 million people to use it … It doesn’t move the needle for us.”

He went on to say that they wanted to create a system that was deeply integrated into the technology people use. I’m honestly left clueless with what they may be announcing on April 4th but, more then likely its something big considering the fact that they recently held an event to announce the new timeline and shortly after that decided to have an event in which we will see later this week.

The K9 4K TV is a TV that is specifically made for dogs. The TV’s colors have been changed by getting rid of red and green tones and maximizing yellow and blue tones. The TV also features a dog friendly remote that has 2 buttons for your paws.

The M3-OW Kittycans are headphones designed specifically for cats. The design fits all feline ears and plays feline friendly music such as “Whats new pussycat” and so on.

The final product is for all you who have rodents, perhaps hamsters. These in cage speakers are tiny and help your hamster enjoy a good work out. The tempo of the music adjusts to how fast your hamster is running in its wheel.

Now of course, this is simply an April fools joke so, don’t go looking for headphones for your cat or a nicer TV then you own for your dog.

A ton of people think that DJ’s are simply people who go to parties and play music from a computer. Tons of people find it dumb that they can “make money by pressing a few buttons.” But, lets make this clear, most of them make very little and usually do it because they love it. Although, other DJ’s make their own “music” in studios and sell it to others. People who love the music listen to it because they love it.

I for one am a fan of liquid dubstep, drum and bass, and certain forms of house music. A friend of mine approached me today and asked me what I was listening to. I simply told him “Tiesto” (an extremely popular DJ who has a podcast online featuring club music) he replied back as a fan of the same guys music. We continued on to ask each other what else we listen to and out of nowhere some guy walks up and tells us that what we listen to isn’t even music.

I asked him why he thinks that and he replied to me saying that people who make music with software are developers and what he says isn’t wrong . They develop music, just as any other musician develops music. After I mentioned that he proceeded to say that all they do is mix sounds together and call it music. It seems a ton of people think like he does these days. Yes, dubstep and other music made with software is new but, that doesn’t mean it isn’t music, nor does it mean that the people who made the music aren’t musicians. Because I strongly believe they are.

Lets look at things real nice and simple here. People who play traditional instruments such as stringed instruments, drums, and so on take notes and chords that are premade and mix them up and play them to create music. That is very similar to what DJ’s do. DJ’s take sounds, change them, reorder them, and play them to create music. I hear often that DJ’s aren’t musicians because they take other peoples sounds and mix them. But, take guitar for example. Guitarists take other peoples notes/chords and mixes them up. Some of the most popular DJ’s such as Tiesto make millions upon millions of dollars a year for playing music from themselves and others live. I see no difference between a guitarist and a DJ.

Google’s Eric Schmidt hinted today that Google Now has been submitted to Apple for review to be on the App Store. According to an Apple spokesperson Google Now has not been submitted to the App Store yet. Google and Apple aren’t exactly the best of friends in the tech industry at the moment. As soon as their iOS based app contracts ended they both were quick to go separate ways.

When Google Maps was released we encountered a similar situation. Google Now will more then likely make its way to the App Store sooner or later but, at this moment we don’t know exactly what the two companies are doing.

Apple’s Podcast application has never really been great. I don’t think its as bad as some people say it is but, it does have its issues. Apple has recently updated a few things in the Podcast app to hopefully better the users experience. I listen to tons of podcasts and my experience that I have had with the Podcast application hasn’t been all that good but, at least Apple is taking the time to better the application instead of just dropping it.

Here’s a list of everything new in the latest update issued today -

• Create custom stations of your favorite podcasts that update automatically with new episodes
• Choose whether your stations begin playing with the newest or oldest unplayed episode
• Your stations are stored in iCloud and kept up-to-date on all of your devices
• Create an On-The-Go playlist with your own list of episodes
• Playlists synced from iTunes now appear in the Podcasts app
• The Now Playing view has been redesigned with easier to use playback controls
• Addressed an issue with resuming playback when returning to the app
• Additional performance and stability improvements

On March 21st 2006 Twitter was released. Today marks the 7th year that Twitter has been connecting individuals using short status’s view able to the world.

Twitters editorial director Karen Wickre wrote -

“As we’ve grown, Twitter has become a true global town square — a public place to hear the latest news, exchange ideas and connect with people all in real time. This is where you come to connect with the world at large,”

Over 400 million tweets are sent daily by millions of individuals who use Twitter as an everyday part of their life. I use Twitter every single day of my life as well. So, you’re browsing the web and you find an articles that you are interested in reading but, you don’t have time to read it. Well, Kindle is thinking of you, so much in fact that they have decided to release a web based button that will allow you to send articles directly to your Kindle.

The new Amazon button was announced and released yesterday and is able to be integrated into any website. It allows you to link content to your Kindle tablet simply by clicking the button once.

Apple has just recently released iOS 6.1.3 which is a simple update that fixes a few things. The update includes improvements to Apple Maps and a fix that Apple promised for the passcode bypass security glitch that allowed people to bypass the lockscreen and get into the iPhone’s “phone” application.

You can go to settings, general, and then software update on your device to see if you are able to update your device. If you can, I recommend doing so asap. Although, I don’t even listen to my own recommendations about updating iOS versions, my iPhone 4S is still on 5.1.3.

Tonight I decided that this website really needed some work. The reading experience wasn’t all that good, in article ads got annoying, and viewing the site on a mobile device was a real pain. So, I have decided to fix a ton of these issues. I looked at what I enjoy in other websites and tried to make mine just as enjoyable. I wanted a cleaner layout so, I decided to use a whole new design.

The new design features tiles with thumbnails, the articles title, and the start of the text within the article. I chose this tiled feed because I believe that it will be easier for people to find content that they want to read rather then having to scroll through entire posts on the timeline. In addition to the new tiled home page, there’s a new slider. The new slider is pretty much the same but, is a bit more clean in my opinion. My goal with these changes was to make your experience on the site a good one.

I know that ads are annoying but, its how we are able to write full time on these sites. Because I write this website myself and receive very little pay for the work (because it is a part of my job) I have to put ads on the site. Over 50% of my readers use an adblock service to hide ads on my website. Ads are only a simple annoyance and I wish that more people would be okay with that simple annoyance if they like a blogs content. Ads are how I support myself, my life. I do not like ads but, I NEVER turn on Adblock when I got to websites that don’t spam ads because ads employ people. I want people to be able to come to my website and not feel as though ads get in the way, in hopes that people will acknowledge what I do here by turning off their Adblock when they come to my website. I have removed ads from the articles, they will only be in sidebars now and I will not put anymore then 3 on a page.

My site statistics also tell me that about 40% of my site views are from mobile devices. So, I felt as though it was time for a mobile version of the site. Feel free to check out the new mobile design on your mobile device, I hope it eases the experience on a mobile device for you all.
